The place to go for pancake lovers - Edit
Went here with a friend to enjoy some late breakfast on a Sunday. We definitely weren't the only people with the same idea, so we had to wait around 30 minutes to get a table. We both ordered a caramel Macchiato and the blueberry pancakes which come with maple syrup and vegan whipped cream and it was absolutely delicious! The pancakes were super fluffy and I was barely able to eat all of it because it was so filling. The wait was definitely worth it! Also props to the waitresses for being so friendly and getting our order to us quickly despite the place being packed! I would definitely recommend this place if you're a big breakfast person.

Schönster Ort Hamburgs und soo so gutes Essen! Nicht alles vegan, aber locker 70 % und eigentlich bis auf ein paar Speisen mit Eiern. Unglaublich lecker und auch toll für Kaffee/Kuchen und Frühstück den ganzen Tag über! Es gibt sowohl Süßes als auch herzhaftes, richtig „fleischiges“ Essen, Sandwiches und eigentlich alles, was das Herz begehrt :)

Went here with non-vegans, they were also enthusiastic about the food. The tofu scramble with vegan bacon was delicious! I really like this place, the only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is that they serve eggs and are not fully vegan😄but if I lived in Hamburg I would certainly come here more often. The pancakes were really nice and fluffy although if they were a bit less dry they would’ve been perfect.

I liked the place and the food was amazing but the waiting time for breakfast is long. They could open earlier than 11.00. If you have spare time then definitely wait and enjoy the food.

But they wanted me to pay for the food I did not get and started a discussion.
It not happened once so I don’t try it again. There are much better spots around the corner.

We had the bad luck of ordering at a waitress which ended her shift a few minutes later and forgot to write our order down. Half an hour of waiting later we asked another waitress about it and she took up our order again. Our vegan Greek salad and vegan Cheese-Avocado-Tomato bagel arrived pretty quickly after that and as an appology we each got a piece of vegan chocolat brownie cake on top. I personally did not like the cake, it was very dense and dry, but I appreciated the gesture very much. The main dishes were alright, both a bit basic but tasty nonetheless and for the low price absolutely OK.

This place may look a little unassuming from outside, but the atmosphere once you come in is cosy and welcoming! The staff were very friendly and smiley, and the food was incredible! We had the scrambled tofu (you can choose 5 ingredients to mix in with this, including vegan cheddar and vegan bacon - yum!), and grilled "tuna" sandwich (I actually thought it was real fish at first). Everything was great! Reasonably priced as well, and just generally a really nice place to visit😄

Best Vegan Breakfast in Hamburg - Edit
I used to go to Mamalicious on a regular basis when I was still living in Hamburg and absolutely loved it.
Read moreAfter leaving Hamburg, I read some very poor reviews online and was worried that the quality had dropped although my friends assured me that Mamalicious was still delicious.
This May we went here twice during our visit to Hamburg, and I can confirm that any negative reviews you can read online are absolutely false. The service is good and fast, and even the owner herself came to check if everything was okay and to bring us extra maple syrup.
The breakfast is absolutely amazing (pancakes, French toast) and totally worth the money.
When I was still vegetarian I absolutely loved the cheesecake, and I really wish they could veganize them. Maybe soon. :)
Update: Still haven't had any of the bad experiences with the service that other people complain about, but I recently went back and had the vegan chili which was awfully bland. Try to stick to the Canadian food here as it tastes much better.
Update 2: Went back for breakfast (pancakes and French toast), and it's just still sooo good! The best vegan breakfast you can get in Hamburg!
