Nestled within the Chiado district, Plant Base presents a concealed entrance that may easily be overlooked, as I initially did. However, upon entering, a remarkable transformation occurs. The interior is spacious and features two distinct dining areas: one situated near the entrance and the other situated around the corner, adjacent to the bar.
Read moreWhile the description of Plant Base suggests that it serves “junk food,” I strongly disagree. The culinary offerings here are exceptional. I have visited Plant Base twice within a week, and each time, I have been pleasantly surprised.
On my first visit, I indulged in The Special Burger, a delectable creation featuring a Beyond Burger patty, vegan cheese, caramelized onions, fried onions, tomatoes, cucumber pickles, and sriracha mayonnaise, all nestled on a red onion bun.
On my second visit, I opted for the JHOL MOMO, a culinary masterpiece consisting of steamed Himalayan Momos immersed in a delectable tomato curry, complemented by red onions and cilantro.
In my opinion, I have discovered my favorite Plant Base dish. The JHOL MOMO boasts a harmonious blend of flavors, with a touch of heat that resonated with my preferences. Its deep, rich taste left me thoroughly satisfied.

Was very quiet when we went so service was very quick. Food was really tasty, I had burger and chips and they were really nicely done. We also had the mushroom pizza and that was super tasty, would have definitely gone back!

A Vegan Gem in Lisboa - Edit
Went there last night and was delighted with their offerings. It’s a steep climb to get there but so worth it. The pizzas were delicious (we tried 3 kinds) but the overall most delicious thing there that we tried was the Mac & Cheese! I’m a pretty tough critic for Mac & cheese and this one was outstanding!

After reading a few of the comments, I went with low expectations, but the food was really tasty. It was amazing! I loved the Mac and cheese, and also the pizza (I forgot the name, it was salchicha something). Kind staff. Totally recommended.

I had iced tea (no sugar, yay) and the fried momos, which came with sauce and ketchup. Unfortunately, no “fish” the day I was there - I’d like to try the fish-and-chips. They have burgers, nachos, momo bowls, pizza, mac-n-cheese, fries - lots of comfort food. Other diners were evidently enjoying their pizzas and momos-in-sauce.

The food was good but we didn’t feel very welcome. We turned up and was told to sit anywhere, picked our seats and started to look at the menu when a group of 4 came in and wanted to sit on the table next to us we was told we had to move (no others turned up)

Food here is good, the staff is very friendly and the prices are fair. However I was a bit disappointed in the dishes as the pictures I had seen online look nothing like how they look in real life. The pizzas and Momo's we tried were good, but expected something else.

From the pictures and ratings in happy cow, this restaurant seems like a higher end Pizzeria. But it actually is a junk food spot with Nepalese roots that does a bit of everything.
Read moreDespite having very nice attention and good variety, the food was not as impressive as other places in Lisbon. The dishes lacked a certain *oomph* that pushed them from good to great.
The mushroom pizza was quite delicious, but everything else had room for improvement.
Not bad by any means, but definitely not what was advertised.

We tried the mac and cheese starter which was so tasty! And got the mushroom and artichoke pizza and the Big Mac pizza, both of which were delicious. The pizza has a great crust and nice sauce. Thoroughly enjoyed!

we had lunch at this place recommended by happycow. we stopped here because they prepare Prego, a typical Portuguese sandwich. we also ordered the garlic bread and it was probably a mistake because the portions are really huge!

The restaurant looks really. I got the pizza with beyond to go. It was delicous, but it seems like nothing on it was self made (maybe the sauce). They could have put more toppings on it.

This place has a tonne of options and was exactly what we were craving, service was good etc. This place is in the centre of Lisbon so prices are higher. The burger bun was hard and the flavour was off / unusual - I couldn't put my finger on it as a vegan who eats all the cuisine felt a bit weird. There is some fantastic food in Lisbon and unfortunately I wouldn't recommend this. I don't like leaving negative reviews but know that great vegan food is out there, just needs a little quality testing.
