Vegan cafe est. 2018 near Nara Park. Serves ramen, hikyaku lunch, fermented germinated brown rice lunch plate, burger, curry, pizza, cake and dessert, natural yeast bread, and lunch box to go. Also has vegan soft-serve. Everything except ramen can be prepared as take-out. Also operates a vegan soba restaurant called Ramusa. Open Mon-Wed 1:00pm-4:00pm. Closed Thu-Sun. Hours are subject to change - check Instagram for latest hours.

Best Cafe I've ever been to 今まで一番素敵な店

Hands down the probably best cafe I know!! The owner, older lady (vegan for 20 years!), is friendly, the dishes diverse, incl. home made cakes, the burger was very nice, the menu book pretty, has English and it's easy to understand, the interior very pretty, romantic location too. Bonus: Cat pictures and figures^^
Alas, the owner said the shop is in the red and she has another job. Let's support this gem!

Beautiful hidden cafe in Nara

Went with a non-vegan friend and we both thoroughly enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The owner was super helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.

Tucked away café

Cute little cafe, kind of hard to find as it’s tucked away behind a larger building next to the park. Just follow the alley to the little garden-looking cottage, where it’s well sign-posted. Very cozy inside, with freshly baked cakes. Was quiet when we went, we were the only ones there. The vegan hot dog and vegan burger were both delicious and cheap (about 400 yen each).

Cute and delicious

Loved this little place which I only found because of Happy Cow app (for vegetarian/vegan places). Food is very good and service is very friendly. I had a non-veg friend with me who loved it as well.
Definitely recommended!

Nice little cafe near the park

Visited the cafe for some lunch during my stay in Nara. Very nice food at a reasonable price and plenty of options for vegans.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Good value for money, Authentic Japanese

Favorite in Nara

We tried most vegan spots in Nara and this was my favorite, especially for the kindness of the owner (most sweet and gentle owner ever), delicious dishes and desserts, good quality ingredients and fair price for Japan. We came back several times and would come back more if in Nara again, highly recommended

Cute place.

This is located in a side-street and has plenty of place including the out-door seating. The meal was very good and I received a big plate. The place was nicely decorated. Lovers of cats will find plenty of cat paintings. No cats seen though.
Will come back when heading back to Nara.

Nice cafe

Not blown away by the food or the cafe, but the meal I had was nice and the atmosphere is relaxing.

Pros: Good value for money, Meals are filling and tasty, English menu

Cons: Not much variety
