Great stop in the City - Edit
Staying in NYC, midtown, for a few days and this little place was right around the corner. Go to was the oat milk latte and this delicious little vegan pumpkin muffin. And I got lucky yesterday and showed up right when they took them out of the oven warm and delicious.

Great quick breakfast - Edit
Gregory’s is the perfect spot for a quick breakfast before a busy NYC day. The croissant sandwich is divine. The apple cinnamon muffin is delicious and the oat milk latte is so tasty! I appreciate having a quick option like this.

Bold coffee, tasty pastries - Edit
We stopped by Gregory’s Coffee on the way to the New York Public Library, and ordered coffee, vegan bar, apple cinnamon muffin and the vegan deluxe croissant sandwich. The cold brew was black and bold. The vegan bar was love at first bite after I bit into a sweet plump fig. The bar is like a thick biscotti, but with a softer texture and loaded with nuts, seeds, raisins and figs. The muffin was cinnamony and moist with a dome topped with a delicate crumb. Yum. The vegan deluxe is a croissant sandwich with egg, sausage and cheese. My husband loved it. Gooey cheese, soft buttery croissant. A perfect quick breakfast when you’re on the run.

Quick and tasty - Edit
In the city, I eat Gregory’s more than anything because it’s the best bang for my buck. I wish they had more options in general, but I especially wish their drinks were clearly labeled as to whether they were vegan or could be vegan.

My go-to for vegan breakfast - Edit
I frequently travel to NYC for work and LOVE Gregory’s for a quick and easy vegan breakfast. My favorites are the fall oat boy latte and vegan bacon, egg, and cheese on ciabatta. #Veganuary

They got me sick - Edit
I literally order from this Gregory's location a few times a week. They often get swamped in the morning and take forever to give me my vegan breakfast sandwich. That's ok, I get it, they're working hard. I always tip 20% on my app based order because I respect their hard work. Today, I was waiting for about 10 minutes past the "pick-up time" and an employee asked what I was waiting on. I said VEGAN deluxe. He told me he'd be right back in 2 minutes with it. Boom! He was back in 2 minutes and I went on my way to work.
Read moreHalfway through my sandwich, I knew something was off. Sure enough, he gave me the standard deluxe. I ate half a sandwich of meat, egg, and cheese, and not only is my stomach cramping up, but I'm missing a meeting because I can't seem to leave the bathroom. 10 years vegan, and my stomach really can't process the stuff as evident by the 35 minutes I've been here in the bathroom. I don't like to complain about accidents and yes, this is very much an accident, but an accident that's got me physically ill. I tried to call the location and the phone just rings and rings. I can't go back down there for obvious reasons and because I have to work. I have no real recourse other than to offer a warning to veg friends who may be stopping by this or any other Gregory's location. Check and make sure that you get what you ordered. Your tummy will thank you for it.
Pros: The food is usually amazing
Cons: They fed me meat, cheese and eggs , I'm vegan, they have vegan food. I didn't get it

New favorite - Edit
I come to Gregorys probably more than I should! I love the Fall Oat Boy, Smashing Pumpkin, and Hall and Oats as far as coffee goes. They have a lot of vegan sandwiches and most of them I have tried. I think they are good. Also, the vegan bar, sunshine bites, and coconut oatmeal are good as well.

Good Food, Lots Out-of-Stock - Edit
We had a difficult time ordering here. For our party of four, each of our first choices on the menu were not available (to be fair, perhaps it’s a supply chain issue?). Anyway, the vegan food and coffee that we did end up purchasing were good - not incredible, but good. This is a local chain, so I’d be curious to see if the other locations are any better.

Relaxing place for coffee - Edit
This is relaxing place to have coffee is an otherwise not so relaxing part of town. This place is clean and well lit, and there are seats and tables both inside and outside, with an available bathroom. Perhaps most importantly, the coffee here is very good. They also have some vegan sweet and savory items--not for a big meal, but fine for a quick bite. If you're meeting someone for coffee in this part of town, this is a good bet (but if you want something a bit more refined, you might try 2 Beans instead, which is not that far away).

Awesome food and coffee! - Edit
Maple latte is delicious and the vegan scramble sandwich is amazing! Their rosemary ciabatta is the best I've ever had!
