Or try its signature kimchi burger, reuben sandwich, or famously addictive snickers bar. Kitchen stops 1 hour before closing. Has a mini library with books for guests to peruse. Cashless. Online ordering available. Also available for Pickup and Delivery until 8PM. Open Mon-Sat 12:00-22:00, Sun 12:00-21:00. Kitchen closes one hour before closing.

Update: Still great! The cheezy burger and fries (shared) was a great lunch.
Another update: Still great! It's been a long time since I had the ribs (starter) and they were very good.
We love Soil. The Ben Ben Noodles remain a firm favourite, and we also enjoyed the cod croquettes, smoky aubergine dip and spicy seitan sándwich. Sharing a bunch of starters is usually a winner.
Update! Now in January we've been back to try new dishes. The house-pickled Shii-take were good and my partner liked the kebab starter and (again) the spicy seitan sandwich. I tried the Tonkotsu ramen and it was excellent.
Good wine and service again!

This is a very cosy intimate restaurant. There are many options to pick from, particularly lots of noodle dishes which I love. I got the mushroom bitterballen and the satay udon, as well as cheesecake for dessert. Everything was very tasty. My only complaint would be that I would’ve liked a bit more tempeh in the noodle bowl. But still, very good vegan spot!

Dear aleadarmesr, We are sorry you feel this way. We were not rejected at all. Although we welcome walk-ins, it is not all the time that we are able to accomodate them. That's why reservations are highly recommended. If we could not accommodate you that's is because we judged that, at that moment we would not have been able to provide you with good service. We understand that it can be frustrating but it is really for your benefit. Sometimes the restaurant may look not super busy but we what you see on the floor doesnt always correspond to the reality. The restaurant might be waiting for a number of reservations, or preparing a big order that will affect the time new tables might get theirs (even for take away). We would love to welcome in the coming days and give you a full blown SOIL experience. If you want just drop us a message on contact@soilvegancafe.com and we will place the reservation for you.

Firstly, make sure you book in advance, even for lunch. We didn't and had to get takeaway as as not to miss out the chance to taste SOIL's food.

The burgers were full of flavour and we thoroughly demolished them.
The satay noodles were tasty, but has added chilli sauce (which was probably because we are south asian and would normally eat spicy). Not a problem but not needed either.
Ribs were great too.

Delicious chicken burger and fries! The chicken patty was the thinnest I’ve ever had, so not the most filling meal but I really liked how light it was!

I had a warm udon bowl with a turmeric latte. Both quite delicious and with a fair size. The staff was also quite friendly:) I liked the fact that the menu is obtained by a QR code. So no paper involved! I will come again if I ever visit Amsterdam again!

Had pimientes del padrón as a starter, a chicken burger with fries as a main and the apple pie as a dessert. All of them were uncomplicated dishes, but very good! Do take fries, they are crispy and tasty. Will come back to try more!
